Day 2

Day 2 started off similar but earlier. I woke up at 7am to get ready to leave by 7:30 and be there by 8. I ventured up to Sunapee NH to see the family I am volunteering with. I have known this particular family for a while, they have 4 kids all under the age of 4. Although sadly two of the kiddo's second and fourth children were both diagnosed with the same gene that carries epilepsy. While there, the youngest Colette's symptoms were dominant. I was told some of her symptoms and what to do if she were to have an epileptic seizure. I was shown a dosage and the medication that stops the seizure. Luckily that wasn't ever needed. It was super interesting learning about the two kids' experiences and was grateful to be able to help the mother! Total Hours: 8
